Does this one seem longer than the last? Very weird. It seems like today should be Saturday.
So, this week is holy week; the culmination of the celebration of Lent. I gave up meat for Lent. I did fairly well, too, even if I do miss it. You can bet your booty that I’ll be out hunting chickens (headed to Rooster’s, a wings place) on Easter Sunday. lol.
I agree with mwshook, Palm Sunday is absolutely the most awesome Mass ever. The Passion of the Lord according to Matthew is totally the most wonderful structured communal gospel reading.
I feel very peaceful this week. Hopefully, it’s not the calm before the storm. The next few months at work will be hectic and busy.
In other news, I’ve switched to DSL. The big problem was that I didn’t have a phone jack in the study 😮 This house is strange; the only outlets are in the master bedroom and the living room. There isn’t even one in the kitchen. Anyhoo, countzero2k7 was going to help me to splice into my phone wiring to get a line down into the study–apparently, Bellsouth won’t come out to put a phone jack in if you don’t have phone service. Boooooo!! I’m getting Naked DSL, with absolutely no intention of getting a landline. Hopefully, all will go well with this splicing and it’ll be right as rain. I was just afraid of having to tear into the wall big-time, but I think it can be avoided here.
Arthur C. Clarke died this week 😐 He was 90, and one of my favorite SciFi authors. Rendezvous with Rama was an astoundingly good novel, one that I think I’ll have to read again–the last time I read it was senior year of high school. Ironically enough, as he died I was in the middle of reading 2001. So, I think I’ll have a bit of a Clarke binge and read Rendezvous, too.
Anyhoo, time to fly.
