So Christmas was here and gone in a flash *le sigh* As quickly as it came, it’s 364 days away again. Go figure.

I guess the one thing that I won’t miss are the over-stuffing meals. They were super yummy, but perhaps a little too much in quantity. I guess that makes up for the semi-stuffing Thanksgiving ๐Ÿ™‚ Dinner on Christmas Eve and Day were awesome, though. Fried chicken (my specialty) and then turkey and all of the trimmings the next night.

John and Laurie, friends of the family, stopped by for the afternoon & evening (and some turkey). That was quite kewl. They were quite happy to see Keith again.

Poor Keith; his luggage got quite lost on the way here because of a gigantic lady who just had to get off the plane because she couldn’t fit in the seat. This meant that all checked luggage was taken off as hers was found. Consequently, this meant that Keith’s luggage didn’t make it to Nashville with him and he had to wait until late Christmas Eve to go to Huntsville Airport to ask them for his luggage. Apparently, had he not done that his luggage would’ve been unclaimed and all hope would’ve been lost for it. Grrr…Most of the time that system works but, when it doesnt…Grr.

In-between most things that happened over the weekend, I played a good bit of WoW. I got to level 39. Maybe I’ll finally hit 40 by New Years ๐Ÿ™‚

So, this week will already never end. It’s a short one, but already it’s chugging along about as quickly as Christmas night passes for a little kid. I’m definitely looking forward to the time off ๐Ÿ™‚ I would definitely love a few days where I don’t have to worry about anything but getting my level 37 mage up to 40.. Or catch up on some scifi novels that I have yet to read.

Ruthie’s going up to visit the fam on the 23rd – 26th. I’ll definitely miss her, for sure.

Keith is coming down on the 23rd from Milwaukee. I’m sure he already dreads the thought of setting foot in *shudder* Alabama again ๐Ÿ™‚

Ruthie informed me yesterday that someone at work brought in little Basset puppies. I so want one, but I’m kind of mixed about it because of the apartment thing. Not only is there an astronomical deposit for a pet (non-refundable), but it’s a bit of a different situation than when we had the family dogs when I was little–no yard for it to play in, walking 2 or 3 times a day (perhaps more). It might be something I have to wait for until a house is in order.

Now.. Will this week kindly end? ๐Ÿ˜›

This weekend was here and gone before I could blink ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Saturday, for most of the day, I was at the folks’. Christmas decorations are now up, so Christmas may now feel free to commence ๐Ÿ˜€ I don’t think they have any plans to put anything outside, so I might have to uber decorate my apartment to compensate ๐Ÿ™‚ Ruthie got some ornaments for my tree from the Disney store which look quite smashing–my tree is now almost exclusively decorated Disney (save for the beads). I have one of those bush light nets draped over my balcony which, at this point, is the only external lighting–I might have to add some icicles on top and some garland. Alas, I haven’t yet found the kick arse lighted deer that garibaldicu had last year at his place.

Sunday was pretty smashing, as well. My dad and I went to Mass at 11:15 to root on Ruthie as she had the Rite of Acceptance in RCIA. Basically, it’s the point at which the community welcomes the candidates for worship. It was a great ceremony, and apparently a big step in the RCIA process–I haven’t really known anyone whose gone through it, so I’m learning a good bit about it along the way, too.

I can’t believe it’s already December ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Where the frak did this year go?
